The Vegas Knight Hawks defeated the San Antonio Gunslingers, 57-44, on Friday evening at Lee's Family Forum. Ja'Rome Johnson found the endzone for a combined three rushing touchdowns as the Knight Hawks improved to 3-0 on the season.

The Knight Hawks were first on the board with a touchdown from quarterback Ja'Rome Johnson. Kevin Macias made his first kick of the game to extend Vegas's lead to 7-0.

San Antonio tied it at seven with just under five minutes left to go in the quarter. Sam Castronova found NyQwan Murray in the endzone for a 29-yard touchdown to bring the Gunslingers even.

Johnson put the Knight Hawks back in front with his second rushing touchdown of the game, his sixth of the season. Macias again kicked the extra point to make it 14-7.

Vegas added their first rouge of the game to make it 15-7 with three minutes to go in the first quarter.

Keyshawn Harper added a rushing touchdown for San Antonio late in the first. With a good kick from Stevens, he brought the Gunslingers within one.

But with just six seconds left in the quarter, Caleb Holley carried the ball for nine yards into the endzone and put Vegas back in the lead.

The Knight Hawks started the second quarter with their second rouge of the game to extend their lead to nine.

Castronova answered back at 11:05 in the second. He found Murray with a 16-yard pass for their second touchdown connection of the game, bringing their team back within two.

Johnson found CJ Windham for his second touchdown of the year to return the lead to Vegas and make it 30-23.

Johnson added his third touchdown of the game with a 12-yard rush to give the Knight Hawks a 13 point lead.

After a scoreless five minutes to start the third quarter, San Antonio got back on the board as Castronova found Harper for their second touchdown of the game to make it 36-30 in favor of the Knight Hawks.

But Quentin Randolph, who leads Vegas in receiving touchdowns this season, responded with a 10-yard rushing touchdown to put the Knight Hawks back up by 12.

Harper earned his third touchdown of the game to make it 42-37 with a 14-yard pass from Castronova.

Johnson then found Windham for a 32-yard touchdown, his second-longest pass of the year, to put the Knight Hawks up by 12 once more.

Castronova continued the back-and-forth third quarter with a rushing touchdown of his own to cut Vegas's lead to just five.
