KNIGHT HAWKS REMAIN UNDEFEATED, IMPROVE TO 5-0

The Vegas Knight Hawks defeated the Duke City Gladiators, 42-27, at Lee's Family Forum on Saturday evening. 

Ja'Rome Johnson got the offense started with his 10th rushing touchdown of the year. Johnson now ranks second in the IFL in rushing touchdowns, behind only TJ Edwards of the Frisco Fighters. 

Kevin Macias made the kick to extend the lead to 7-0. The Knight Hawks then added a rouge on the kickoff to make it 8-0. 

Jericho Flowers tacked on another six points with a 48-yard return after Duke City's missed field goal, his first touchdown of the season. 

Duke City found their way onto the board with a pick-six 11 minutes into the first quarter. 

Quentin Randolph re-extended the Knight Hawks' lead with a touchdown in the final seconds of the quarter to make it 21-7 headed into the second. 

Duke City cut Vegas's lead to seven with a touchdown from Deva Concliffe. After the Knight Hawks turned the ball over on downs, the Gladiators tied the game at 21 with a touchdown from Gregory Dent. 

Caleb Holley put the Knight Hawks back in front with just nine seconds left before halftime, his sixth of the season. Holley now stands eighth in the IFL in receiving touchdowns, the most of any on the Vegas roster. 

The Gladiators added a field goal as time expired to make it 28-24 before the second half. 

The third quarter remained scoreless throughout. 

Holley added his second touchdown of the game to give Vegas a 35-24 lead with just under 10 minutes left in the final frame. 

Duke City added another field goal to bring the Gladiators within 8. 

Randolph then scored his second touchdown of the game to make it 42-27, sealing a Knight Hawks victory. The undefeated Knight Hawks will next take the field against the Bay Area Panthers on Saturday, May 4. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. PT.
