KNIGHT HAWKS FALL TO RATTLERS, 39-38, IN PLAYOFF CONTEST

The Vegas Knight Hawks fell to the Arizona Rattlers, 39-38, at Lee's Family Forum on Saturday evening. The matchup marked the first playoff game in Knight Hawks franchise history.

The Rattlers opened the scoring with a touchdown from Corey Reed Jr. to take a 6-0 lead.

But CJ Windham quickly responded with a touchdown for Vegas. Kevin Macias then made the first PAT of the game to put the Knight Hawks in the lead.

After a fumble recovery by Darius Williams, the Knight Hawks then extended their lead to 14-6 with a rushing touchdown from Ja'Rome Johnson.

Gle Gibbons Jr. returned the kickoff for a touchdown to bring the Rattlers back within two. However, Arizona again failed to make the kick.

Johnson added his second rushing touchdown of the game to make it 20-12.

Dalton Sneed found Nih-Jer Jackson in the endzone to make it 21-18. He then completed a two-point to Shannon Brooks to put the Rattlers within one.

With just four seconds left in the first half, Quentin Randolph extended the Knight Hawks' lead once again to eight to make it 28-20 going into the third quarter.

Antonio Wimbush gave Vegas a 15-point lead with a rushing touchdown early in the third quarter, the only scoring play of that period.

Shannon Brooks cut that lead to 35-27 with a rushing touchdown early in the final frame. Although the Knight Hawks defense pushed Arizona to fourth down, Sneed added another rushing touchdown with just under seven minutes to go to make it 35-33. James Ceasar broke up a Rattlers two-point conversion to preserve a Vegas lead.

Macias gave the Knight Hawks a five-point cushion with a 35-yard field goal with under a minute to go in the game.

Sneed secured a 39-38 Rattlers victory with a one-yard rushing touchdown as time expired.
