KNIGHT HAWKS SOAR IN 49-23 WIN OVER STRIKE FORCE

Cameron Dukes earned the W in his first pro start

Box Score The Vegas Knight Hawks flew high in their win against the San Diego Strike Force, 49-23, at The Dollar Loan Center on Saturday.
 
HOW IT WENT DOWN
The Knight Hawks got the first points on the board with QB Cameron Dukes connecting with Jordan McCray and Dez Epps for touchdowns, putting the team up by two scores. San Diego answered back with Jorge Reyna running it in for the score. Vegas went into the half with a 14-9 lead.

San Diego continued its momentum at the start of the second half with Reyna connecting with the multi-positional Amechie Walker to give the visitors a 16-14 advantage. Dukes got back into rhythm with a touchdown to McCray to take back the lead, followed by a kickoff fumble recovery that led to a touchdown from Epps. Dukes carried his hot hand into the fourth quarter with a rushing TD and a passing touchdown to Jeff Ejekam. The Knight Hawks defense sealed the game with a Gabe McCoy fumble recovery returned for a touchdown.
 
In his first pro start, Dukes finished the game 14-for-21 in passing for 176 yards and five touchdowns. McCray and Epps each had a pair of touchdowns and four receptions, for a combined total of 93 yards. McCoy had a stellar performance with four tackles and three tackles for loss, in addition to his fumble return.  
 
Strike Force quarterback Reyna finished the game 14-for-30 for 159 yards and two touchdowns. Walker and Van Trayvon both caught a touchdown and a combined total of 89 yards. D.J. Morgan made four tackles and two tackles for loss.
