PREVIEW VS BAP: JULY 2

Vegas will face Bay Area in their final home game of the season

Vegas wraps up their final home game of the season against the Bay Area Panthers at The Dollar Loan Center on Saturday, July 2 at 4 p.m. PT.

NOTES
The Vegas Knight Hawks are 5-9 in their inaugural season in the Indoor Football League (IFL), where they sit in fifth place in the Western Conference.

This will be their second meeting against the Panthers. They last played the Panthers on April 4 in San Jose, where they had a dominant 53-27 victory. Jaylon Henderson and Elad Covaliu both led the team in that big win, with a hat trick performance. Henderson threw three passing touchdowns and Covaliu had three rushing touchdowns. Mister Harriel came up with his first fumble recovery and interception of the season.

Knight Hawks quarterback Cameron Dukes has had a hot hand with 16 touchdowns in his last three starts, eight of which came in last week's matchup against the Steamwheelers. He now holds the IFL record for most passing touchdowns in a single game.

The Knight Hawks have signed former CFL and NFL DB Matt Elam. Elam played three games in the Canadian Football League (CFL) with the Edmonton Elks during the 22 season and started all three. In those games, he racked up a total of ten tackles. Before the CFL he was drafted in 2013 by the Baltimore Ravens in the National Football League (NFL). He spent three years with the team (2013-2016) and in 41 games, he came up with 131 tackles and one interception.

Wide Receiver Jordan McCray leads the team in receptions (44) and touchdowns (12). In last week's loss, McCray came up with eight receptions and four touchdowns, which puts him in the top five in the IFL for most receptions and touchdowns in a game.

OPPOSITION UPDATE
The Bay Area Panthers are 1-12 and sit in seventh in the Western Conference. They are coming off a 66-26 loss against the San Diego Strike Force.

Wide Receiver Dan Crowell Jr. leads the team in receiving with 35 receptions for 431 yards and eight touchdowns. He's ranked 15th in the IFL for receiving. In their last matchup he caught the ball five times for 68 yards.

Derik Calhoun leads the Bay Area defense and is fourth in the IFL with tackles with 69 total, 52 of which are solo tackles. In their loss to San Diego, he led the team with six and half tackles and a pair of tackles for loss.
