The Vegas Knight Hawks defeat the Tulsa Oilers, 46-32, at The Dollar Loan Center on Saturday night.
Running back
Davonte Sapp-Lynch opened the scoring with a touchdown to give the Knight Hawks an early lead. Receiver
Caleb Holley doubled it with another touchdown, followed with an extra point from Steve Artigue, to put the Knight Hawks up 13-0. The Oilers answered back with a touchdown of their own to cut the Knight Hawks' lead to just six. But
Malik Honeycutt re-extended it with a touchdown of his own, with Artigue tacking on another extra point for good measure. Tulsa scored again to make it a 20-13 game at the end of the first quarter.
Quentin Randolph opened the second quarter with another touchdown to put the Knight Hawks on top by 14.
Matt Elam intercepted an Oilers pass to give the Knight Hawks back the ball. They finished off that drive with a QB sneak touchdown from Neal to give them a 33-13 lead. Tulsa responded with a touchdown and a deuce before halftime to make it a 33-22 game.
The Oilers opened the third quarter with a field goal to make it 33-25, but Neal scored his second touchdown of the game, with Artigue adding on another PAT, to put the Knight Hawks up by 15. Tulsa scored late in the fourth quarter to bring them within eight points. Neal responded with his third touchdown of the night to secure a 46-32 Knight Hawks victory.
Vegas will hit the road next week to take on the Arizona Rattlers at Footprint Center on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. PT.
