Week Seven: Vegas Knight Hawks vs. Duke City Gladiators

NOTES
The Vegas Knight Hawks are returning home to play the Duke City Gladiators following a 4000-mile roundtrip visit to Jacksonville. Currently 4-0 on the year, Vegas is firing on all cylinders on both sides of the ball. They are one of three remaining undefeated teams in the IFL. Duke City, however, is one of the three remaining teams that are winless in 2024.

It's no secret that quarterback Ja'Rome Johnson leads one of the best offenses in the league. Vegas has the second lowest time of possession, spending an average of 26 minutes and 57 seconds on offense. That, combined with having the second highest scoring offense in the league means that Vegas can run the score up in very short order.

Much of the quick-strike ability comes from the three-headed monster Vegas has as its receiving corps. Quentin Randolph, CJ Windham, and Caleb Holley all have a catch over 30-yards, and each has at least four touchdown receptions. Holley leads the group with five.

On the defensive side Bryce Hampton and James Ceasar each recorded 5.5 tackles last week. Hampton got his third interception of the year on Jacksonville's final drive, sealing the victory. The defensive unit will look to continue the success against a Gladiator squad that has not found their rhythm this season.

OPPOSITION UPDATE
Duke City is coming into Lee's Family Forum searching for their first win. The club that calls Albuquerque home has had a rough start to their season. Through their first four games, Duke City has thrown 10 interceptions and lost four fumbles. They are also the fourth most penalized team in the IFL, averaging 75.8 penalty yards per game.

Two players that Vegas will need to key in on are defensive back Aaron Jackson and receiver Gourney Sloan. Jackson leads the team with 24 tackles, and he also has one interception in 2024. Sloan is the team leader in touchdown catches with five and 165 receiving yards.
