The Panthers took a commanding 28-6 lead in the second quarter thanks to three unanswered touchdowns from both JT Stokes and Felix Harper.
The Knight Hawks cut that lead to just eight points thanks to two touchdown grabs from Collins, including a spectacular 25-yard grab over the endzone wall.
Stevie Artigue kicked a field goal in the final seconds of the quarter to make it 31-20 going into the second half.
Vegas scored the sole points in the third quarter with a field goal from
Kevin Macias at 8:21. The Knight Hawks then got within two just 40 seconds into the final frame with a rushing touchdown from
Ja'Rome Johnson.
Shane Simpson re-extended Bay Area's lead to 37-29 with his first touchdown of the game.
Although Johnson found Windham for his second touchdown of the game with under five to go in regulation, the Panthers' defense hung on to secure a 37-35 victory and their playoff spot.
The Knight Hawks will return to home turf on July 20, where the team will celebrate Fan Appreciation Knight.
