NOTES
This Saturday the Vegas Knight Hawks will take on the Northern Arizona Wranglers at the Findlay Toyota Center in Prescott Valley, Arizona. This matchup is as much a playoff game as you can have before the postseason begins. A Knight Hawks victory secures a playoff spot outright. A loss means Vegas no longer controls their own destiny and will need several chips to fall correctly in the final week of the season to secure a bid.
Last week Vegas fell in a high scoring affair, 60-59, against the San Diego Strike Force. Quarterback
Ja'Rome Johnson recorded six touchdowns, three on the ground and three through the air.
Quentin Randolph made his return to the lineup recording two scoring catches on 65-yards. On the defensive side of the ball, D-lineman
Maurice Jackson secured an interception. Defensive back
Darius Williams lead the team in tackles with seven and a half.
OPPOSITION UPDATE
Northern Arizona is returning home after a thrilling game in San Jose against Bay Area. NAZ was down 40-15 early in the second half before storming back to win 47-46. The Wranglers sit in fifth place right behind Vegas. To secure their playoff spot, they need to win their final two games and for Vegas to lose out.
Wranglers quarterback Joshua Jones is third overall in the IFL in passing yards (2645) and touchdown passes (52). His top target, John Maldonado, has 809 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns. Defensively, Tramond Lofton leads the IFL in sacks with seven and a half.
