WEEK 19: VEGAS KNIGHT HAWKS vs TUCSON SUGAR SKULLS

NOTES
This Saturday the Knight Hawks will host Fan Appreciation Knight when they take on the Tucson Sugar Skulls. Vegas currently sits in third in the Western Conference standings while Tucson is in last place. Should the Knight Hawks win, and San Diego lose to Bay Area, Vegas will clinch the second seed and a home playoff game.

Last week Vegas snapped a two-game skid with a 55-45 victory against Northern Arizona. Ja'Rome Johnson was the standout performer in the game, recording five rushing touchdowns on 100 yards. He also had two touchdown throws to CJ Windham and 152 passing yards. Johnson was named the IFL's Offensive Player of the week for the third time this season, making him the only Knight Hawk to receive the distinction three times in one season. Defensively, Jericho Flowers stood out as he recorded an interception as well as a touchdown off a blocked field goal.

OPPOSITION UPDATE
Tucson is looking to end their season on a high note. They currently have an eight-game losing streak. Their last win came on May 18 against Vegas, a game that ended on a converted 2-point try in overtime. The Sugar Skulls will come to Lee's Family Forum once again looking for an upset against their former head coach, Hurtis Chinn.

Tucson operates a run-heavy offense. They have the second most rushing yards in the league with 1565. Most of their rushing attack comes from running backs Mike Jones and former Knight Hawk Devonte Sapp-Lynch.
