NOTES:
Vegas will kick off their fourth IFL season on the road in San Diego against the Strike Force. San Diego will be celebrating their first game in their new home: Frontwave Arena. Neither the Knight Hawks nor the Strike Force played in Week One.
Vegas will once again be led by Head Coach and General Manager Mike Davis. He is accompanied by
Hurtis Chinn as Offensive Coordinator and
Xzavie Jackson as Defensive Coordinator and D-Line Coach.
Kyle Moore-Brown is returning as Assistant Head Coach and O-Line Coach.
Rick Espejo and
Mark Bly are back as Linebacker Coach and Quarterbacks Coach respectively.
The Knight Hawks are returning 15 players from last year's roster, eight on offense and 7 on defense. Leading the group of returning players is the reigning IFL MVP
Ja'Rome Johnson. Joining Johnson will be All-IFL Selections on the O-Line,
Moses Mallory, and
Kevin Toote. The Vegas offense will also have several key weapons making a return including
Quentin Randolph,
CJ Windham, and
Antonio Wimbush.
The Knight Hawks defense sees four D-Lineman coming back in
Lee Autry,
Claude Davis,
Lorenzo Hernandez, and
Maurice Jackson. All-IFL linebacker
Makel Calhoun is back in Vegas along with
James Ceasar and
Darius Williams.
The Knight Hawks players have voted Davis, Williams, Randolph, and Wimbush to be captains for the 2025 season.
Last year, Vegas finished with a regular season record of 11-5 and second overall in the Western Conference. This was the best season in team history and gave the Knight Hawks their first playoff appearance. They fell to the eventual IFL Champion Arizona Rattlers in the first round.
OPPOSITION UPDATE:
San Diego ended 2024 with an 10-6 record and landing them at fourth in the West. Quarterback Nate Davis returns to the Strike Force. Davis was second in the IFL in 2024 in passing yards with 3146.
There will be some familiar faces on San Diego's roster as
Jericho Flowers,
Marquis Lawson, and Travon Van have all joined the Strike Force after being with Vegas in 2024.
