On Saturday, April 26, the Vegas Knight Hawks will travel to San Antonio, Texas for their first meeting of the season with the Gunslingers. Vegas won the lone game these teams played in 2024, a 66-44 early season shootout. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. PT.
NOTES:
Vegas is coming off of a Week 5 bye and is 1-2 on the season. In Week 4, Vegas hosted the San Diego Strike Force in their first home game of 2025. San Diego came out victorious, 35-27.
In the loss, quarterback
Ja'Rome Johnson had 257 all-purpose yards and three total touchdowns.
Quentin Randolph and
CJ Windham Jr. each had four catches and caught a deep ball of at least 40-yards. Tamorion Terry had his first touchdown grab as a Knight Hawk.
Defensively, defensive back
Darius Williams leads the team with 17 tackles while
Claude Davis and
Lorenzo Hernandez each have a sack. Hernandez, along with linebacker
Makel Calhoun, have each recorded an interception.
OPPOSITION UPDATE:
The San Antonio Gunslingers are currently 1-3 on the year and are coming off of a loss to the Tulsa Oilers, 45-31. The San Antonio defense sits at seventh in the league, allowing 39 points per game. The Gunslingers also have the 13th-ranked rushing offense, only averaging 31 yards per game.
Their passing attack is much more potent, ranking second overall in the league averaging 160 yards per game and notching 11 touchdowns. Receiver NyQwan Murray is the current league leader in receiving yards per game with 95, and he is averaging one touchdown catch per game.
