On Sunday, April 6 the Vegas Knight Hawks will take the over 2,200-mile journey to VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida to take on the Sharks. This will be the only meeting between these teams in 2025.
Vegas opened the season last week with a thrilling 48-41 victory over the San Diego Strike Force. Jacksonville is also 1-0 on the season and is coming off of an early season bye week.
The Knight Hawks had a rocky start to their first game, falling behind 18-38 before storming back with a 30-3 run. Quarterback
Ja'Rome Johnson was responsible for five total touchdowns. Receiver
Quentin Randolph had two touchdown grabs in the contest.
DaQuan Dudley had his first rushing touchdown as a Knight Hawk and
Antonio Wimbush also contributed two more rushing scores.
On the defense,
James Ceasar had three crucial pass breakups in the fourth quarter that allowed the Offense to retake the field and eventually grab the lead. D-Lineman
Lorenzo Hernandez put the game away with an interception in the final minute.
OPPOSITION UPDATE:
The Sharks were one of the six teams to take the field in the IFL's first week, defeating the Massachusetts Pirates 46-25 on the road.
The Sharks offense jumped out to an early 13-0 lead and the Pirates were not able to close the gap. The Jacksonville defense was in mid-season form as they came away with five turnovers in the contest.
