VEGAS DOUBLES DOWN AND DEFEATS SAN ANTONIO FOR THE SECOND TIME

Box Score The Knight Hawks defeated the San Antonio Gunslingers, 55-27, at Lee's Family Forum on Saturday evening.

#12 James Ceasar: Recorded two interceptions in the first quarter

NOTES
The first half was all Vegas as they established dominance on both sides of the ball early.

Vegas found the endzone four times. Ja'Rome Johnson had one rushing score, and Antonio Wimbush found the endzone twice. CJ Jefferson caught his first touchdown as a Knight Hawk.
Vegas racked up 27 first half points and 138 total yards of offense through 30 minutes.

James Ceasar picked off San Antonio's Zach Reader twice in the first quarter.

Although the Knight Hawks defense held San Antonio to just five total yards of offense, they still squeezed out 14-points before the end of the half.

The second half started where the first half left off as Quentin Randolph secured a touchdown catch, raising the Vegas lead to 34-14.

There were then three rushing scores, all by quarterbacks. San Antonio's Guy Meyers notched two short-yardage TDs and Ja'Rome Johnson ran in for his second of the game. This raised the score to 41-27 going into the fourth quarter.

Wimbush recorded his third rushing touchdown halfway through the fourth quarter giving Vegas a 21-point lead.

Rome Weber secured his first interception of the year on the following drive, picking off Guy Meyers.

This set up Vegas in good field position, allowing Wimbush to run in for his fourth score of the night.

The score read 55-27 for Vegas as the clock ran out, securing the Knight Hawks' third straight win and second on home turf.

NEXT TIME OUT

The Vegas Knight Hawks will head to Pheonix, Arizona for the first time this season to take on the defending IFL champion Arizona Rattlers. The game is scheduled for a 6 p.m. PT kickoff at Desert Diamond Arena
