WEEK 14, GAME 12: IOWA BARNSTORMERS AT VEGAS KNIGHT HAWKS

On Saturday, June 21 the Iowa Barnstormers will make the trip west to Henderson, Nevada to take on the Vegas Knight Hawks. These teams have only met one other time, a 57-44 Knight Hawks victory in the 2023 season opener.

NOTES:

The Vegas Knight Hawks are coming off of a 44-31 loss to the league's top club, Bay Area, last Saturday. After going into halftime down 15-0, Ja'Rome Johnson came in at quarterback to relieve starter Jayden De Laura. Vegas then outscored the Panthers 31-29 in the second half. Johnson threw for 93 yards on 12 completions along with three total touchdowns, one passing and two rushing.

Defensively, one of the newest Knight Hawks, linebacker Cameron Bright, had a career game in just his second start with Vegas. Bright totaled 13 tackles, almost twice as many as the next closest player, Bryce Hampton with seven. The Knight Hawks also blocked three kick attempts by the Panthers. Through 11 games played in 2025, the Vegas defense is ranked fourth overall in the league, holding teams to just under 38 points per game.

OPPOSITION UPDATE:

Out of the 14 teams in the IFL, the Iowa Barnstormers sit at 13 in the league standings with an overall record of 1-9. Despite their record, the Barnstormers have the league's fourth best offense, scoring 44.2 points per contest. Quarterback James Cahoon sits at fourth in the league in both passing yards with 1477 and passing touchdowns with 28.

The Iowa defense, however, sits at the bottom of the league surrendering almost 56 points to their opponents. They do have a knack for forcing turnovers, as they have forced five fumbles and recorded 11 interceptions this season.
