On the opening drive of the second half,
Antonio Wimbush recorded his second score of the game, this time on the ground to get Vegas within one point of tying the game. A botched snap on the PAT held the game at 28-27 Panthers.
Ben Derby then gave Vegas the lead, 29-28, by scoring a deuce on the ensuing kickoff.
